Tips for those who want to travel with your pet
Car trips
- - For the pet not to be surprised by the trip, take a few short car rides before the trip.
- - Fasting is important to avoid seasickness. Approximately two hours for cats and four hours for dogs should be started before travel. Water is needed to hydrate them during the journey, if possible on an hourly basis.
- - Remember to bring your vaccination card with rabies vaccine up to date and a certificate from your veterinarian stating that the pet is able to travel without having a contagious infectious disease or zoonoses.

National air travel

International air travel

Sea travel
Most of the companies. Marítimas does not accept that its passengers take pets. But guide dogs are accepted as long as the notice is given in advance.
